What is BrandLockBox?

BrandLockBox is a browser-based tool for organizing brand facts, audience, goals, voice examples and source passages into an editable brand brief and a portable prompt.

How do I build a brand brief?

Enter your brand name, task, audience, goal and known facts, then choose Build my brand brief. Add voice examples, constraints or source passages when needed. Edit the brief and review current context before copying or downloading it.

What does the wording checker detect?

It finds case-insensitive matches for configured prohibited phrases, missing required phrases and complete excluded source passages. It does not verify facts or numbers, detect paraphrased claims, or judge brand voice.

How are source passages approved?

You declare the owner, version, task scope and status of each passage. Eligible approved passages enter current context. Missing details, scope mismatches and competing approved versions are excluded. BrandLockBox does not authenticate approval authority or detect semantic contradictions.

Where is my brand information stored?

The application keeps work in browser tab memory. It makes no model calls, analytics requests or uploads. You can explicitly copy text or save a local project file. Reopening reads that file on your device. Refreshing or closing the tab can lose unsaved work; browser form restoration may vary. The hosting provider receives ordinary page requests.

Can I use the brief in an AI writing tool?

Yes. Copy the portable prompt into your chosen tool. It includes current brand context and your edited writing, while automatically supplied source text excludes ineligible passages. Your writing still needs review. Pasting into another tool shares that content with that provider.

Can I save and reopen my project?

Yes. Save a local JSON project file from Save & export, then open it to restore facts, source passages, rules, brief edits and draft. You can also copy or download Markdown text. Saving is explicit; there is no automatic persistent storage.
